This year, we offer another of our “ripped from the headlines” song parodies. What if Pharaoh had used a group chat to direct his generals to pursue the fleeing Hebrews? And what if a mystery guest had been included in the chat? It might have sounded like “Oh, What a Beautiful War Plan,” set to “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’” from Oklahoma.
Now the Pharaoh is sending a message.
It is time for your troops to be massing.
We’ve heard that the Hebrews are planning to flee
But we’ll block their escape when they reach the Red Sea.
(Chorus)
Oh, what a beautiful war plan!
Oh, what a plan of attack!
We’ll run down all of the Hebrews.
Then we will drag them all back!
Here at Passover Song Parodies, we have a history of taking on hot political topics, from 2020’s “Will We Be Having Our Seder?” to the “Battle Hymn of the 2023 Seder,” to last year’s “Make Pesach Great Again.” Find this year’s “Oh, What a Beautiful War Plan” at number 84 in our song index — or go straight to the free, printable song sheet. We also have a sample vocal track, as well as an instrumental recording that you can use to accompany you and your Seder guests. Our song sheets and instrumental tracks are all free, downloadable, and sharable!
